April 8, 2019 – FTC was proud to support the Women’s Center’s 33rd Annual Leadership Conference on Saturday, April 6th, as a Bronze sponsor. In a strong show of support for the event, a diverse group of twenty women from across the FTC family attended the conference, enjoying a day of inspiration, collaboration and lots of laughter together.
With the theme “It Starts With Us”, the conference featured a rich array of programming, beginning with an inspiring speech from Brigadier General (Dr.) Sharon Bannister, who at the last-minute replaced Vice Admiral Raquel Bono as keynote speaker, and a lively interactive panel discussion, followed by smaller seminars dedicated to improving mindfulness, communication and achievement for both personal and professional development. The event provided men and women across a wide range of industries the opportunity to enjoy new ideas, insights, and inspiration while supporting the Women’s Center organization, a non-profit organization with the mission of providing mental health counseling, support, and education to help people live healthy, stable and productive lives. The FTC women in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the day, building a special sense of camaraderie in sharing such an energizing experience as a team.
“The Leadership Conference gave us all a lot to think about and reflect upon for our own personal growth and development. The Women’s Center is a very worthwhile cause and is doing the important work of healing hearts and souls by providing support services for individuals and families during difficult times. FTC is deeply committed to giving back to the community in a meaningful way, and I am proud to say that FTC will continue to support the mission and vision of this impactful organization in the future,” commented FTC Founder and CEO, Vaseal Montgomery.
