Founded by a Veteran with the mission to make a difference in the health, well-being and quality of life of Americans who have served, FTC is proud of our status as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOSB) and honored to serve the Veteran community through our work in the Department of Veteran Affairs and Department of Defense.
We understand the difficult challenges that many American Veterans face when transitioning from serving our nation to joining and succeeding in the civilian workforce, and it is our goal to support Veterans making this transition in any capacity we can. As such, FTC has made the following commitments:
To provide support to our Veterans transitioning from military careers to life in the civilian community
To increase FTC’s awareness in the Veteran community
To increase FTC’s Veteran hiring target to 25%
To achieve and maintain a Veteran workforce retention rate of 20%
To support Veteran-based charitable organizations financially as well as through our volunteered time
To achieve these goals, FTC works closely with military transition centers, military associations and Veteran organizations as well as state and local government offices to identify and hire transitioning and retiring military Veterans. In addition, FTC actively participates in Veteran networking programs and job fairs and supports a wide range of Veteran-related non-profit organizations, including (among others over the years) the Wounded Warrior Project, the Fischer House Foundation, the Robert Mount Pisgah (RMP) VetCare Ministry program, The Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), The Northeast Florida Women’s Veterans, Inc, and the Buffalo Soldiers Historical Society through charitable giving.
However, as one of the fastest growing Veteran-owned businesses in the country, we feel we can, and should, do more to support our Veterans, their families, and their causes. Every FTC employee is encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions for new Veteran-related activities for the company to support and to be actively engaged in our Veteran Outreach program to ensure its continued success.
